Come to Garrison School Cultural Center in Liberty, Missouri,Friday, March 24, 2017, 6:30 pm, to learn about some of the unsung “An-sisters” of the Civil Rights Movement. These Black women worked behind, in front and on the sidelines of the movement from 1955 through the signing of the Voting Rights Act in 1965. Evening led by Ina P. Montgomery a technology professional. Her career began in corporate America as a computer-based training developer for one of the top three consulting firms in the Washington, DC area. She continued her passion for training and education by creating learning materials for urban schools and communities. She has developed life skills training programs in leadership, public speaking, social etiquette and personal development. As a personality preference certified trainer for Insight Institute, she helps her clients match their personality with their career interests. She served as Adjunct Professor with Metropolitan Community College of Kansas City for over ten years, facilitating workforce training and professional development for customers like Bayer Corporation, QuikTrip and Unilever. Ms. Montgomery has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from South Carolina State University and a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from the University of Virginia. She is currently Chief Technology Officer and Edupreneur of Technology Empowered Communities. |
